Temple Trip

The Sacramento Temple
Rob and I had the opportunity to go to the Sacramento temple with a couple, Mark and Silvia who were going through the temple for their first time.  We felt so blessed to have this opportunity to share this moment with them.  It turned out that we also met some people that we hadn't seen for almost 30 years and were able to visit with them as well.  I wanted to get some pictures of our friends at the temple and also some pictures of the temple and temple grounds so that they would have this memory of theirs forever.
I liked this picture of the temple at dusk as you can see a tinge of pink in the clouds above the spire
When we finally left the temple, it was getting dark and it was so beautiful that I tried to take a couple of dusk pictures to share with Mark and Silvia as well as sharing them on my blog.

Clouds

As I was coming home from work, the clouds looked so beautiful that I wanted to get out of my car and immediately take pictures -- of course, I didn't have my camera...so when I got home I immediately got my camera and took these cloud pictures....The clouds were so beautiful and reminded me of the beautiful world we live in...
Thank you Heavenly Father for the clouds - it made me smile and cherish the moments we have to enjoy nature and the world around us!

Grandma without a camera? -- Almost!

Rob and I had a fun experience this weekend.  Summer and Steve decided to have a "staycation" and asked us to watch Bella and Ethan for the weekend.  We gladly accepted and looked forward to getting to know our grandchildren better.  It started out on Friday around 12 pm.  Ethan and Bella came over and Chase and Tyler were already here.  Rob took care of the group until I got home around 6pm.  The boys and Bella had alot of fun playing all sorts of games inside and outside the house.  Uncle Ryan then took the boys to McDonalds to play some more and to get another dinosaur - way cool!  The weekend went by and come Sunday I realized that I didn't have any pictures for my blog so out came my camera for some quick shots of Ethan and Bella.  Ethan had a mind of his own as to what he wanted to do --
To play Super Mario Brothers with grandpa or watch Star Wars, so the pics I got of him were pretty similar - glued to the TV in a very absorbed way!
Here I asked Ethan to smile for me and got this crinkly smile :)
Standing up and moving the control with deliberation...
Concentration, plus!
Oops!
I made a smilie face pancake for Ethan like I used to make for Jen, Kate, Steve & Shelley.  He really thought that was pretty cool...
On Saturday we went to see Tyler play baseball around 10am.  It was a little cold so we didn't stay the entire game, but watched Tyler hit twice.  The first time he hit the ball from a pitch and the second time he hit from the tee.  Pretty fun to watch our grandson do so well in baseball.

Here's a pic of me and Bella as we were walking out the door to go to church.  Bella is all dressed up and ready to go.  She did so well at Sacrament Meeting, but was really tired as it was her nap time.
Bella getting ready for church - doing her own hair...
A cute shot of Bella on the couch.  She was watching Ethan play Super Mario Brothers, but she was more interested in watching Star Wars for some reason :)
I had to get this documented -- Bella eating pancakes with a fork!  Sum said she learned to use her fork at grandma's house.  She was definitely ready to do it - she pretty much had it all figured out - probably from watching Ethan and her parents eat... I think she wanted to be just like them.  She would stab the pancake and then put the food ...
into her mouth -- after awhile she got tired of working with the fork and ended up using her fingers to finish up her pancakes
Summer had put this cute little hat in her bag and so I thought it would make a cute shot.  Bella is a real doll!
I liked this pic because of the lighting.  I thought it looked engaging :)
I took Bella upstairs to play a little with her new toy and she really liked to push the button and watch the gears move as well as listen to the music.  I like the way she had her legs in both of these pictures...
Pretty cute - she looks so grown up in this picture - her legs look sooooooooo long!
This last shot was a fun one.  Bella loves to go in the tunnel.  You can tell by her happy face as she travelled through the tunnel...
Well, Rob and I had so much fun with our little grandchildren.  We were so glad that they were able to come to our house .  Now I have to say that Ethan did more things than just play Super Mario Brothers even if I didn't get pics of what he did!  Hopefully, our little grandchildren had as much fun as we did having them come to our house for the weekend!  Next time the camera will come out a little sooner!
