Lagoon

Shell, Shannon, Randall, Christopher and I went to the Lagoon amusement park on 5-16-09. Always looking for a bargain, while I was waiting for the group to show up, I noticed some coupons for 1/2 price tickets. When the group showed up I gave them the coupons and each one of them was able to get $20 off their ticket -- too bad I didn't see the coupons before I bought my ticket. After Randall and Shannon bought their tickets and saw that it worked, they handed out the rest of the coupons to those in line with children and helped save them some money, too! Great idea!

The first ride we chose to ride on was the Skyway - here's a pic of Shannon and Randall getting cozy!
Christopher wasn't too sure he wanted to ride the Wild Mouse, but that ended up being one of his favorite rides!
Another ride I didn't go on. I hated ferris wheels when I was a kid and still don't have a great love for them now. This one was huge and you could sit in a bucket and the bucket would rotate as you rotated. Sounds like a stomach churner!
Shannon in the bumper cars - The whole group participated in this ride 'cept me! I'd rather take pictures than suffer whip lash - thank you very much.
Christopher, Shell and in the background, Shannon
We were getting a little warm so decided to take the log ride. Christopher was the only one that didn't get soaked and Randall tried to protect Shell and I, but it didn't work - a big "tidal" wave overpowered us and we just got soaked!
Shannon took this picture and the one above. This is a picture of the soaking crew of the log ride!
Now, this is a ride I'm very glad I didn't go on - I don't know for sure if this is Shell and Shannon, but after they got off they felt really sick. Shannon said that going up and down this part of the ride wasn't the worst of it, but the twisting and turning after that was what got to her. The name of the ride is Wicked!
My last picture of the day was this funny spider that would occasionally blow out a spray of mist. I thought it was pretty funny as it would really surprise people as they walked under the spider. Going to Lagoon with Shannon, Randall, Christopher and Shell was a fun experience and I was so glad that Shell suggested it.

Yeager Clan & Star Pics

Here is a picture of my two brothers, Dan and John. I really enjoyed my stay with Dan and enjoyed the dinner with John and Cher. Hopefully, by now John and Cher will be feeling much better. This picture was taken outside my favorite restaurant, Outback, where John and Cher took us for dinner. I really enjoyed my steak dinner -- thanks John and Cher for a delicious dinner and thank you, Dano, for letting me stay at your house. Dan, Cher and John
Some pics I took at Lagoon - doing a little practicing with my camera while waiting for Shell et al. to get off a ride and move on to the next one. This is the Wild Mouse and I went on this ride.
Was trying to get a sun star in these next photos just for fun.
Another sun star.

Dan's View & Judy, Judy, Judy!!!

Talk about a "Room With a View!" I took this picture on Dan's balcony. Great view, Dano. Thanks so much for letting me stay at your house. Unfortunately, John and Cher were sick and so I wasn't able to spend as much time with them as I would have liked...hope they're on the mend. This is a picture of Mt. Olympus at the end of Dan's street...
Another beautiful view...
You can tell I love the mountains of Utah and the rolling hills....etc., etc.
I went down to see Judy in Payson, Utah and since I just happened to bring my golf clubs, we went golfing. Here's a view of the mountains down by Payson at the Gladstan Golf Course.
A picture of Judy and the mountains before the nefarious accident that sent us to the emergency room! Judy fell on the golf course sprained her ankle, hurt her knees, broke her glasses and put a bump on her head along with bumps and bruises everywhere else! Hope you are feeling better, Judy, Judy, Judy!!
Even though Judy was hurting from her injuries this next picture is not a picture of two burn victims, but two friends enjoying a facial! It was so relaxing and Judy had made arrangements to have her granddaughter, Kayla, give her a facial and one of Kayla's associates at the Beauty College to give me a facial. It was so relaxing that both Judy and I fell asleep. Thanks, Judy, for making my trip so memorable. I look forward to our next visit!

Salt Lake Temple with Shell

The trip to Salt Lake City was a special one for Shell and I. One of the things that we had an opportunity to do was to go to the Salt Lake Temple. After the session, Shell and I walked around the beautiful Temple Grounds. Here's Shell doing a pose for the camera. The tulips were just beautiful!....and so are you, Shell! :)Shell at the Salt Lake Temple
One of the general authorities said that if you touch the temple then the temple will touch you. Both Shell and I wanted to touch and be touched by the temple.
Another view of the temple and the Angel Moroni on top
I think these last two pictures of the temple were my favorites. I loved the clouds in the sky and the spires of the temple...
The temple really is an inspiring place to be and it was a wonderful to share this experience of going to the Salt Lake Temple with Shelley for her first time. Thanks, Shell, for all the joy you bring to our family!

Stop Over at Gary & Kelly's Home

Here's a picture of Shell and I think his name was Roscoe. We enjoyed our short visit with Gary and Kelly. I went for a jog with Gary while he rode his bike Saturday morning. He asked if I could keep up with him and I stupidly said sure. Big mistake! I can't keep up with my little grandkids on a bike - let alone an adult!
Gary and Kelly's new little dog...
Gary then invited his family over for a BBQ. Everything tasted just delicious and Shell and I really appreciated all you did to make us feel welcome.
I made my famous chocolate dipped strawberries - yummy!
Here's a pic of the Gary Fink Fam: Veronica, Josh's girlfriend,
Gary & Josh, Chad and Kelly.
I told Chad I would put his funny face on my blog...
So here it is! -- Great pic of a smilin Josh...
and everyone else for that matter!
Thanks for a great time Kelly and Gary!
We enjoyed our visit so much.

Mommy Bird and Flowers

Shelley and I headed for Salt Lake on May 8th and stopped for a short visit with Gary and his family. I thought this picture of a mommy bird was fitting for a Mother's Day Weekend. This mommy bird nests in Gary and Kelly's patio awning.Because I was leaving before Mother's Day, Jen was disappointed that she couldn't do her regular Sunday Mother's Day Breakfast and instead bought me this beautiful bouquet of flowers. I took them with me on the trip and was able to enjoy them for
Mother's Day.
These pictures don't do the bouquet justice.
It was really lovely. I was sad to leave them at Kelly's, but I know they would have died on the trip to SLC and Kelly could enjoy them for a few more days.

....a little Photoshopping! :)
