Rob's High School Reunion Part 1

Rob and I had the opportunity of going to the Class of '68's High School Reunion for Central Valley High School in Central Valley (now known as Shasta Lake City) close to Redding, California for Rob's graduating class. The dates were October 10 and 11, 2008. It was called "Still Crazy After All These Years!" It was great for Rob to re-connect with his classmates after all these years. For Rob and I this was only the second reunion we had attended -- the last one was 20 years ago. A big thank you has to go out to all those who put this reunion together. A great deal of thought and effort was put into it. For example, on the first night we had a tailgate party before a football game and had hotdogs, chili and soda. We then had an opportunity to go with one of the teachers and walk the halls of the campus and look into the rooms and Rob had fun talking to his classmates during the walk. We were given this program as a memento of the reunion. This is a picture at the football game. We were recognized over the load speakers as the Class of '68. We were given pom poms to wave and megaphones to scream and cheer through. Those in this picture were top row: Cheryl and classmate Randy Trafton (hat) -- second row: classmate Scott Louis (white hat) and his wife Karen, also a classmate, Rob and I -- bottom row classmate Sherry and her husband Mark. We had so much fun with this group and just connected. It helped that all of those above were golfers and even though they didn't all golf at the tournament, they enjoy the game and so not only did we talk football, but golf as well. Sherry and Mark Mauer even brought their golf clubs on the plane from San Clemente so they could participate in the golf tournament!
